چکیده
Introduction: Intramedullary nailing is a good indication for stabilizing displaced fractures of the proximal end and shaft humerus in adults. Methods: This was prospective series 24 patient, over period 9 months. The aim this study to report epidemiological clinical aspects patients treated with locked humeral nail show medium-term interest, therapeutic method, thus discussing complications. Results: All had received intramedullary humerus. average age 77.08 years. female sex more represented 66.66% right side frequently fractured 83.33%. We distinguished 50% cases involving humerus, 45.87% one case concomitant fracture that shaft. postoperative infection rate zero our we reported 1 distal locking screw breakage, iterative on short Telegraph nail, retraction long perforation head screw. Conclusion: alternative fixing without considerable complications or damages rotator cuff muscles.

Treatment Outcome of Intramedullary Fixation with a Locked Rigid Nail in Humeral Shaft Fractures
Background: The aim of this study was to determine the treatment outcome of humeral shaft fractures with a locked rigid intramedullary nail in patients indicated for surgical treatment. Methods: In this descriptive-cross sectional study, all patients were followed up for one, six, and 18 months post operatively. The Short Form Questionnaire (SF-36) and Constant Shoulder Score were applied. Re...
متن کاملLocked Nailing of Humeral Shaft Fractures
We report the results of locked Seidel nailing for 30 fractures of the humerus. There were frequent technical difficulties at operation especially with the locking mechanisms. Protrusion of the nail above the greater tuberosity occurred in 12 cases, usually due to inadequate locking, and resulted in shoulder pain and poor function. Poor shoulder function was also seen in five patients with no n...
متن کاملLocked intramedullary nailing of femoral shaft fractures.
One hundred twenty-three femoral shaft fractures were treated with Grosse-Kempf slotted, locked nails and followed for a median 20 (range, 12-60) months. There were eight intraoperative and 11 postoperative complications, among them two superficial and two deep infections. Most of the intraoperative complications and some postoperatively lost reductions could have been prevented by a better ope...
متن کاملLocked intramedullary nailing in the treatment of non-union following humeral shaft fractures. Cases study.
The paper presents an analysis of cases of treatment of humeral shaft fracture non-union following operative treatment. Non-union was treated by locked intramedullary nailing in all patients. Bone destruction at the fracture site is an indication for using bone grafts. In our opinion autologous bone marrow injection to the fracture site is an effective method of bone union stimulation, and this...

Background: To compare the union times of the uncomplicated tibial shaft fractures, which were distally locked by twocoronal and one sagittal screws and by only two coronal screws. Methods: 45 patients with tibial shaft treated with intramedullary nailing included in this study. 23 of 45 fractureswere treated with uniplanar two distal interlocking (Group 1) and 22 fractures were treated with bip...
